Henry’s IELTS Challenge
Henry had faced some challenges. He had studied for a Master’s degree in Australia, but when he first took the IELTS, he had only a short time to prepare. He got an overall score of 6.5. It was okay, but it wasn’t enough for his visa extension.
One of Henry’s biggest challenges was English grammar. He had learned English mostly on his own, and he realised that he needed help with grammar. Another challenge was the speaking and writing sections of the IELTS exam. He knew he needed to improve these skills.
How IELTS Podcast helped Henry overcome IELTS challenges
Henry found the IELTS Podcast and decided to try it. With the help of the tutors at IELTS Podcast, he received valuable feedback on his writing, discovered his mistakes and got advice on how to improve. Henry also learned to adapt a special template, called the C2 template, for different types of essay questions.
In addition to the IELTS Podcast online course, Henry also used some books to practise using English grammar correctly such as English Grammar in Use and Cambridge books.
Three important lessons Henry learnt from his IELTS Journey
Henry learned some important lessons on his IELTS journey. He knew that practice was key to success. He also understood that getting feedback on his writing and taking action to improve were crucial.
Henry’s final IELTS score
With determination and the help of the IELTS Podcast Henry’s hard work paid off. When he retook the IELTS, he got an overall band score of 7.5. This was the score he needed to extend his visa. His writing score alone jumped from Band 6 to Band 7.
